FAQ

What if I don't get to go the brunch this year? 

Seating is limited, so we will put you on the waiting list. 

If you do not get a reservation, next year you will be notified 2 weeks before others who have gone before.

 

Where do we meet to go to the brunch? 

We will gather/rendezvous at the Raton Game and Fish Office Parking Lot (215 York Canyon Rd, Raton, NM 87740) on Highway 555/York Canyon Road near Tractor Supply.

 

What time do we meet to go to the brunch? 

Arrive at the Game and Fish Parking Lot at least 1 hour before your brunch time.

(Arrive by 10am for the 11am brunch.  Arrive by 12:30pm for the 1:30 brunch.)

Please get gas first if needed.

 

Does everyone need a signed waiver?

Yes. This includes children. If possible, please have waivers signed before you get to the Game and Fish Parking Lot.

Do we check in at the Game and Fish Parking Lot?

Yes! There you will check in and turn in your waivers. 

We will then caravan together in your personal vehicles to Vermejo.  Please do not leave early.

 

Can I carpool? 

If you have several in your party, you may arrange your own carpool and leave your vehicles in the Game and Fish Parking Lot and ride together.

 

How long is the drive?

The ride out to the ranch is part of the experience, so please take your time and enjoy it.  There is plenty of food and the party won't start without you, so please drive carefully. The drive is approximately 45 minutes. We will caravan together to Vermejo.  Please do not leave early.

 

How much can I eat?

This is an all you can eat, self-serve brunch.

 

Are alcoholic beverages included in the price?

No, Alcoholic beverages are not included and are the responsibility of the guest.  However, soft drinks, tea, lemonade, etc. are included.

 

Are tips included in the price?

Yes, all tax, tip/gratuities are included in the reservation.


Can I go into the backcountry?

No. Backcountry travel is prohibited; however you are welcome to explore ranch headquarters.

 

Are there any other things to enjoy?

  • There will be live music.
  • The gift shop will be open.  Any purchases are the responsibility of the guest.
  • If available, tours will be offered of the Casa Grande and Turner House.

 

What should I wear?

Anything is fine. Folks have attended in sandals, shorts, and Hawaiian shirts or suits, ties, and cocktail dresses. 

 

Can I bring a pet?

Certified service animals are admitted.  All other pets are prohibited, including emotional support animals.

 

What is the cost?

$55/person for Dining Room seating

$70/person Veranda seating

Children 6-12yrs old are 1/2 price.

Children 5 and younger are free.

Reservations are taken on a first come, first serve basis.

 

Does the Veranda have heat?  Is it covered?

Yes. It is covered and there are heaters above the Veranda; however, we cannot predict the weather, so a jacket is a good idea.  Rainstorms are also a possibility depending on the time of year.

 

What forms of payment do you take?

If you make the reservation list, more payment details will be emailed to you. Cash will only be accepted in person (do not mail).  Checks are accepted in person or by mail. Credit cards are accepted in person or over the phone. There is a 4% service charge if paying by credit card.

 

What if I can't go?  Can I get a refund?

  • If you have already paid but can't attend, notify us immediately and try to find someone to take your seat. Give us the name of the substitute.
  • If you haven't paid yet, notify us as soon as possible so we can give your seat to someone on the waiting list.
  • Rember seating is limited and there is always a waiting list, so please have the courtesy to cancel as early as possible so someone else can attend.
  • There are no refunds for day-of no shows. Cancelations must be made at least 24 hours prior.
  • Refunds will be issued by check. Credit card fees are non-refundable.
